  • Sara S
Certified Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified Professional

Sara grew up right here in Fredonia and has lived in Ozaukee county most of her life. She graduated from Milwaukee Career College in 2014 with an Associate's Degree of Applied Science and has been working in veterinary medicine for 9 years. She doesn't have a distinct memory of when she decided to start this career but she has always felt a deep connection to animals big and small. She has been fortunate enough to have worked with a variety of animals including raccoons, opossums, squirrels, various birds, ducks, and rabbits, along with dogs and cats of course.

Sara's goal in each interaction with our patients is to provide the best care possible in the least stressful way. Sara does have her Fear Free Certificate and likes the challenge of working with the variety of temperaments our animals have.

Sara currently lives in Port Washington with her husband, her son, and three cats: Walter, Mo, and TC. Her passions outside of the clinic include exercising (her husband owns a gym in Port), creating healthy meals, and spending as much time as possible outside.

  • Candace W
Small Animal Veterinary Assistant, Fear Free Certified Professional

Candace’s desire to work with animals started before she was able to walk. She spent a large portion of her childhood accompanying her mom at a veterinary clinic that she has worked at for over 25 years. In 2017 Candace finally began working in the veterinary field & joined the Fredonia Veterinary Team in November 2021.

Candace received her fear free certification while she worked in a small animal practice in Fort Mill, South Carolina and loves using her knowledge to make each visit for our patients as enjoyable as possible.

In her spare time, Candace enjoys spending time with her four dogs (3 Australian Shepherds & 1 Border Collie/Australian Shepherd Mix) and her (many) cats. She also loves working out, reading, painting, and spending time with family.

When away from work, Abby adores snuggling with her two beloved kitties, sitting outside with a good book, (poorly) singing along to her favorite music, and spending time with friends and family. She is also a self-diagnosed nerd who loves watching movies, playing video games, and creating/collecting new pieces of art.
